RHINOPLASTY

Rhinoplasty is “millimeters procedure”.  Patients may be advised to wait until their adolescence and a clear idea of what they like before performing the procedure. Breathing problems corrected at the same time with septoplasty, turbinoplasty or spreader grafts at the internal valves.

Sometimes chin augmentation or set back genioplasty may be suggested for a better result.

"Barbie nose" can be done by internal/external osteotomies to make the nose look narrower and straighten, the radix will be shorten and the tip will be more projected. If it needs to be augmented, can be performed by using cartilage from the septum. If the base of the nose is wide, the nostrils will be narrowed.

In most cases, the incisions will be placed at the stylus/base of the nostrils and they will not be seen.

Occasionally, secondary/revision rhinoplasty may be necessary and alternatively tiny injections of hyaluronic acid can optimize the results. There is no pain, bruising is mostly gone after a week and the swelling at the base and the nasal tip, usually subsides after 1-2years the most. The patients return to their daily activities after 7-8days.
