Gynecomastia refers to enlarged female breasts and affects around 40-60% of men at one breast or both. Although certain drugs, such as anabolic steroids, hormones, alcohol, marijuana, as well as cancer, impaired liver function, etc, may contribute to male breast enlargement, it is generally believed that, a large proportion of cases come from obesity or unknown sources.

The best candidates have good skin tone and are more than 18years old. The procedure is minimal invasive through a periareolar incision where we take out the extra fat by a "high definition liposuction" and the excess mammary gland by direct excision. If the patient is “massive weight loss” we may need to take out the laxity of the skin as well. Complications like bruising and swelling, hematoma or infection are rare, however you will return 7-8 days after the procedure to your daily activities.
