OTOPLASTY

Otoplasty can improve the “protruding ears”. It can also reduce the size of the ears and the lobules if they are large.

Ear surgery can be performed in any age over 5-6years old (near the total ear development). Through small incisions behind the ears, stitches are placed to the cartilage to contour the anthelix (Mustarde sutures) or to put the scapha closer to the head (Furnas sutures).

Stressed exercise is avoid for several weeks and the patients usually return to their daily activities within a week.
